A S C E N S I O N

Some fears follow you home. Others were born there.

When a troubled woman returns to her family home after her grandfather’s death, she is forced to confront the childhood terrors she buried long ago—only to discover that the demons haunting her mind may be far more real than she ever imagined.

STORY

Sasha has spent years trying to hold herself together. Years medicating the shadows she sees in the corners of every room. Years fighting the quiet fear that something inside her is broken beyond repair.

When her estranged grandfather passes away, she’s forced to return to the old family home to settle his affairs. The house is untouched by time — frozen in the same suffocating atmosphere she fled as a child. But the deeper she steps into its rooms, the more the memories begin to move. The blues music her grandfather used to play still echoes through the halls. The mirror at the top of the stairs still waits like it remembers her. And the presence she used to hide from as a little girl seems to be waiting for her return.

Sasha tells herself it’s in her head. The medication will hold.

The hallucinations aren’t real.

CONFLICT

Then a woman named Luci appears — someone who claims to have grown up alongside her, though Sasha remembers nothing. What begins as a comforting presence slowly twists into something familiar, dangerous, and terrifyingly close. Locked inside the house with a past she cannot outrun, Sasha is forced to confront the truth: the monsters she feared as a child weren’t imagined.

And the darkness she’s been battling all her life may not belong to the house at all… it may belong to her.

THEME

A psychological descent into trauma, memory, and inherited terror — a story where the haunting isn’t supernatural, but deeply personal. As Sasha’s sense of reality fractures, she must face the question no one wants to ask:

What if you are the thing you’re running from?
