Two cousins clean up after contract killers for a living. In The Marleys, bleach and small talk get them through the work. Neither does much for what they’ve avoided saying to each other.
Tommy has decided to leave the family business, and Jimmy can’t imagine carrying on alone. Before they can face what comes next, one last assignment reminds them that their work leaves no margin for error.
Written by Francisco Breton and Kenneth Trujillo and directed by Trujillo, the Atlanta-made dark comedy received an Honorable Mention for Best Dark Comedy Short at Indie Short Fest and won Best Editing and Best Lead Actor at Film Fest Knox. It was nominated for Best Georgia Short at both the Athens Film Festival and the Rome International Film Festival.
